The Office Assistant is responsible for creating and sustaining a positive culture that promotes an exceptional educational experience for every student.  The Office Assistant coordinates all clerical activities for the site including but not limited to enrollment, records retrieval and student check in. 

JOB FUNCTION: 
The Office Assistant answers incoming telephone calls, and forwards them to the appropriate staff. This position welcomes all site visitors including students, parents and vendors, and determines the nature of the visit and directs the visitors accordingly.

The Office Assistant establishes and fosters effective & positive team oriented relationships with all staff by cultivating an atmosphere of honesty, trust and respect.  The Office Assistant promotes positive and proactive two-way communication and assists the Management with projects, events, clerical tasks, attends and participates in site events, and educational and work related meetings.

REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:
The successful candidate must possess excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. One to 2 years previous experience, preferably in a school setting; strong organizational and time management skills; excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;  ability to effectively work with a diverse population (students, parents & staff).; ability to be flexible and to multi-task; ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments; proficiency with Microsoft Office products specifically Word, Excel .  Experience in QuickBooks is preferred.
